About the Class
St. Pauls' Cross Walk Sunday School Class is a brand new
class that meets on Sunday mornings at 9:45 in Abraham Station.
Here is a picture of the class after one of our monthly service projects
Building Community
St. Paul's Cross Walk Sunday School Class is for graduate
students or career young adults, single or married. Our primary goal is to
create a comfortable environment where people can connect through faith centered
friendships and grow spiritually feeling equipped for the ups and downs of everyday
life.
Come help build something new at St. Paul's.
Building Compassion
Cross Walk Sunday School class will be participating in community mission opportunities
as well as mission work here at St. Paul's. Our class meets in Abraham Station,
across the street from St. Paul's. This building is used for both the Rutabaga
Territory after-school program for at-risk elementary children and the interfaith
Emergency Aid Coalition that feeds and clothes Houston's homeless. Our classroom
location allows us to keep on top of the needs and service opportunities for both
of these two programs.
Building Faith
Christian education is what brings us all together on Sunday mornings. Our
lessons are taught by seminary student Kim Mabry, who helps us grow in our own understanding
of faith. Lessons are an inviting experience for everyone, regardless of one's
Biblical Knowledge. Questioons are encouraged ... no matter how big or small.
Each person has a point of view that, through Christian dialogue, will enlighten
others.
Building Friendships
Faith centered social connection is an important part of building a strong foundation
for this new young adult community at St. Paul's. Expect seasonal holiday
parties and regular after church lunch gatherings along with ongoing social events.
